Welcome to the Horwood Museum

The Horwood family produced many historically important stained glass windows in Canada and the United States. In a museum setting stained glass windows will be collected, restored, interpreted, and preserved for public viewing. We will educate audiences in North Eastern United States and South Eastern Canada about the alarmingly rapid loss of stained glass windows as a result of many church closings, the destruction and replacement of public buildings, and the razing of private homes for commercial ventures with little or no regard for the rescue and preservation of artifacts.

Become a Member!

We would like to invite you to become a member of the newly formed Horwood Stained Glass Museum. This unique institution was formed to preserve a little-known asset found in many of Canada's and Ogdensburg New York's magnificent architectural structures. As craftsmen, the Horwood family produced many historically significant stained glass windows, which today, have deteriorated or been replaced with more modern options.  The Horwood Museum is a pioneer, dedicated to the restoration, preservation, collection and exhibition of these beautiful windows and the dying art form it represents.
